In the early 1970s, my family and I moved to a new home in the East End of Houston. Our new home was pretty much brand new, and we’d spent most of our time around the neighborhood in our “old” home. We were also on the eastern edge of Houston, which meant we would see all of the big city skyscrapers. While my parents and brother worked, I would go to school.
We started to get into the habit of using a portable phone to call our friends over to the East End of Houston. Our friends were on their way home from college. So we called the East End and set up a phone call with them. We got a call back saying we had a call come in and we were looking for an open-ended phone. It’s a funny little story, but I think the East End got a bigger kick out of it than we did. We would see friends of friends walk by and think this was a regular phone call. We would get a call back that said it was an open-ended call and we were looking for an open-ended phone.
We finally found the East End phone number and I turned around and called the East End, but its not there. It was an open-ended call with a message in the sky. The East End call ended up saying, “Hey, I got this one call. I think we should call the East End, and if you want to call them, we’ll call you. We’ll call them, I think.” So we actually called the East End.
We got the message and asked them if they had a line on the East End, and they did. So we called. We ended up talking to a man named Dave. He was very helpful and gave us the name of a contact for the East End. We then decided to call the East End and ask them if they had a line on them. And they said yes.
The East End are one of the most well known cities in India for being the site of the infamous ‘Hindu Kush’ civil war. The East End was at the center of the struggle in the region, and was a major part of the battle that eventually crushed the Muslim Khoja empire. Many of the buildings and structures of the East End are still standing, though the city itself is now a thriving hub of commerce, art, and culture.
The East End is a city of great culture and history, so it makes perfect sense that someone would want to visit, and now there’s even a game that is exploring the history and culture of this region.

A couple of things could be good for a game to capture the imagination of the player. One is that you can’t just pick up and run around the city like a game and do everything in your head. In Deathloop, you can’t just pick up and run around the city like a game. You need to do things in a way that the player can understand what the other players are expecting of you.
The other aspect is that the game has a certain pace. It can’t just be a quick walk from point to point and you’re like, “Ooh, I’ve been wondering about this.
